Viewing spring and zodiac animals paintings in the New Year

HNN.VN - "Celebrating Spring and the Zodiac Animals", a year-end reunion of artists, has just been opened on the afternoon of January 17 at Song Huong Magazine headquarters. The exhibition is jointly organized by the Union of Literature and Arts Associations, Fine Arts Association and Song Huong Magazine.

With 40 works by 39 artists, the exhibition is an interesting and chance meeting among generations of both professional and amateur artists. By using various materials, such as: oil paint, lacquer, silk, acrylic, synthetic, woodcarving, fabric mosaics, flower mosaics, truc chi... the artists have explored many ways of portraying visual interpretations as well as expression styles ranging from abstract, semi-abstract paintings to those following impressionism and realism styles...

The works of art create an emotional picture of spring, with the vibrant colors drawn from the feelings of the artist when witnessing the change of nature, Creation and from contemplating the philosophy of human life.

* In the afternoon of the same day, at Song Nhu Art Gallery (14/7 Nguyen Cong Tru Street), the opening of the zodiac animals gallery with the theme "Canh Ty, gac chuot, thu con". This is an annual activity organized by artist Dang Mau Tuu and Hue painters, as a gift to the public in the Year of the Mouse 2020.

19 artists brought to the gallery 28 works, including 2 child artists and 3 artists from Quang Binh. From familiar materials such as acrylic, lacquer, truc chi, etc., the artists portrayed the image of a mouse with a witty and subtle air of folk art in an anthropomorphic style, creating an impression on viewers.

* "The mouse in the paint jar" is another exhibition of zodiac animals paintings opened by young artists on this new year occasion at the Garden Riverside bar (1/7 Nguyen Cong Tru Street).

This is a New Year party for young artists: Nam Thanh Trung, Tran Huu Nhat, Nguyen Luong Sao, Nguyen Luong Sang and Hoang Dang Khanh. With the theme inspired by folk idioms, the artists have exploited the image of a mouse full of personality and originality in the way of using colors and shapes ...

Like a year-end meeting of the artists, the exhibition is an opportunity to meet each other, and introduce new works on the zodiac animals, to say goodbye to a busy year and welcome the new year with much excitement, adding more flavour to the coming Tet holiday.

All exhibitions take place until the end of the Lunar New Year holiday.
