The Yellow Apricot Festival by the O Lau River in Phong Dien kicks off

HNN.VN - On the night of January 22, in Phong Phu Ward, Phong Dien Town, the 1st Yellow Apricot Festival 2025 kicked off with the theme “Masterpieces of Spring”.

In the framework of the Yellow Apricot Festival this year, locals and tourists have the chance to enjoy over 60 works of yellow apricots, representing over 2.000 households cultivating apricots in Phong Phu Ward (formerly the Dien Hoa Commune). These are the most special works of apricot growers by the O Lau River. The displayed yellow apricot works form a unique attraction, offering a place for sightseeing, entertainment, and check-in activities for locals and tourists from near and far.

Mr. Nguyen Dang Phuc, Chairman of the Phong Phu Ward People’s Committee informed that the Yellow Apricot Festival is an opportunity to honor traditional cultural values and the beauty of the yellow apricot - the flower with its unique characteristics, symbolizing the spring of reunion. This is also a chance for Phong Phu Ward to promote the image and the beauty of local people and the land by Tam Giang Lagoon to friends far and near, while also fostering the spirit of unity and pride among local residents.

The organization of the Yellow Apricot Festival will contribute to upgrading the competitiveness of members and individuals in the cultivation and trading of yellow apricot products. Thence, heading to the goals of fostering market, promoting trade, training, and offering policies to support the development of golden apricot cultivation. Furthermore, it also contributes to creating a meaningful playground for organizations and individuals working in the field of cultivating, promoting and trading yellow apricot products in Phong Phu Ward and surrounding localities.

In the Yellow Apricot Festival this year, locals and tourists are also be able to join in various activities, such as an exhibition of ancient apricot trees and beautifully-shaped apricot trees, as well as enjoying music show, etc.
