At the end of each year, Hue City Fine Arts Association organizes a New Year’s spring exhibition with the theme of the zodiac animal. This is an annual gathering of painters, artists, and sculptors, both within and outside the association, along with art enthusiasts.

The exhibition attracts art enthusiasts from Hue.

The snake is considered the most challenging to depict among the 12 zodiac animals - not due to complexity, but because its visual language is so simple that it borders on monotony. The difficulty lies in conveying ideas, as the snake carries many contradictory connotations from various cultural, historical, and religious perspectives. However, with 48 works from 48 artists, the snakes of the Year of the Snake 2025 embody a sense of sincerity, simplicity, and a touch of humor, metaphor, and majesty, yet remain approachable and blend with other emotions. These artworks create a highlight infused with the essence of traditional Tet, symbolizing reunion, joy, and hope.

Bidding farewell to the late winter chill of the old year and welcoming the new year with excitement and opportunities for the homeland, the exhibition adds a splash of color to the traditional Tet celebrations, enriching the festive spirit of the people of Hue.
