Following this phase, the dossier will then be sent to the UNESCO to enlist the Nine Dynastic Urns as World Documentary Heritage.

Accordingly, based on comparative research studies with Japan, China, Korea’s cultures, the Nine Dynastic Urns of the Nguyen Dynasty currently on display in Hue Imperial Citadel are unique.

The Nine Dynastic Urns is a set of bronze artworks consisting of nine huge urns cast by the Ministry of Works in Hue Imperial City in 1836, under the reign of Emperor Minh Mạng.

By skillful bronze casting techniques and sophisticated embossing art, some of the nation’s finest casting artisans have succeeded in largely yet selectively presented the richness and diversity of the landscapes that boast the country's wealth and beauty, such as mountains and rivers, territorial seas, estuaries, border gates, flora and fauna, etc.

Together with ancient Sino-Nom documents, the images of seas and islands embossed on the Nine Dynastic Urns serve as valuable reference sources of information on Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Paracel and Spratly Archipelagoes.
