7 collectors participate in the autumn stamp exhibition

HNN.VN - On September 9, the Provincial Stamp Association coordinated with the Provincial Post Office to open the Postage Stamp Exhibition in response to the Four Seasons Festival 2022 with the theme “Vietnam, the Country & its People”.

Attending the exhibition were Secretary of Hue Party Committee Phan Thien Dinh, Honorary Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Stamp Association, leaders of Hue City People’s Committee and those of the departments, sectors; as well as the members of the Provincial Stamp Association and over 100 students of Stamp Club of Le Loi Primary School.

The postage stamp exhibition of this time includes 30 stamp frames of 7 authors from Thua Thien Hue Stamp Association, in addition to the participation of seasoned stamp collectors who won high prizes at international and national stamp exhibitions such as the collector Chau Lan Phuong and the collector Van Thi Ly. Furthermore, this is the first time that the exhibition displays the 5- frame stamp collection of the veteran collector Nguyen Duc Ba Cung, who is over 83 years old.

The activity of displaying stamps takes place from September 9 to 11, right on the time of many big activities and events being carried out in Hue to respond to the Autumn Festival in the framework of Hue Festival 2022, with a chain of festivals stretching throughout the year to honor and promote the specific cultural features, exploiting Hue’s strengths of beautiful landscapes, spiritual tourism, attracting tourists, and socio-economic development.

This is not only a significant cultural event but also a festival day to exchange, learn, and share experiences between the stamp collectors to improve their integration level with regional and nationwide stamp movement.

Previously, the stamp exhibition with the theme “Hue – Cultural Heritage – Tourism” taking place on April 30 gathered various stamp collections selected from the members of Thua Thien Hue Stamp Association, Da Nang Stamp Association, and Ha Noi Stamp Association with many items bearing the imprints of time such as old stamps and postcards taken from the decade of 60s, 70s of the 19th century.
