Concluding the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan emphasized that developing night-time economy is one of the important solutions to attract long-stay visitors, and more effectively leverage Hue's cultural and heritage values. The projects should aim to create new and attractive night-time tourism and service products, tied to the city’s cultural identity and heritage spaces.
According to Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, investing in artistic lighting systems and creating highlights for architectural works, monuments, and urban landscapes will help enliven Hue’s night-time scenery and enhance visitor experiences. At the same time, departments and sectors need to research and develop a variety of night-time services, commerce, cuisine, and entertainment; while building appropriate mechanisms and policies to attract businesses to invest.
He also noted that the development of night-time economy must align with the orientation of building Hue into a heritage, cultural, modern, and dynamic urban center, ensuring the harmony between tourism and service development and the preservation and promotion of heritage values, thereby creating additional momentum for the city’s socio-economic growth in the coming years.
