Experts from Vietnam and Germany exchange experiences in intellectual property commercialization

HNN.VN - On October 8, the University of Law, Hue University, in collaboration with the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) in Vietnam, held a scientific seminar titled ‘Commercialization of Intellectual Property: Experiences from Germany and Vietnam’.

 The seminar provided an opportunity for experts and researchers from Vietnam and Germany to exchange experiences

In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Duc Luong, Rector of the University of Law, Hue University, noted that intellectual property and its commercialization are receiving increasing attention in teaching and scientific research, particularly regarding legal frameworks and the commercialization of intellectual property associated with local contexts.

The first session focused on the legal framework for patent commercialization. The second session addressed the commercialization of intellectual property arising from social science research and practical experiences in Germany. Experts also discussed intellectual property commercialization in the AI era, from technology transfer to the management of intangible asset portfolios.

Through presentations and in-depth discussions, the seminar aimed to strengthen academic exchanges between Vietnam and Germany while providing further comparative perspectives on legislation, enforcement practices, and solutions to promote intellectual property commercialization in a new context.
