Hue is ready to welcome major U.S. corporations to learn, survey and invest

Accompanying the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam were leaders of the Department of Foreign Affairs; Provincial office; Office of the Provincial People's Committee and of the Department of Health.

At the meeting, Secretary Le Truong Luu affirmed that over the past time, the United States and Thua Thien Hue have achieved important results in the fields of health, education and training, culture, commerce and investment, as well as settlement of war consequences...

The U.S. has provided great support for English training; cooperate and exchange science in the field of medicine, contribute to the development of Hue Central Hospital to become one of the leading hospitals in Vietnam. Furthermore, the U.S. has also supported the embellishment and restoration of a number of vestige works, and the mine clearance in the province.

Secretary Le Truong Luu hoped that the U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam - H.E. Marc E. Knapper would introduce more major U.S. corporations to study, survey and invest in Thua Thien Hue; continue to support in the field of health and education, and at the same time, promoting tourism, embellishing heritage, and overcoming war consequences such as clearing mines and explosives.

The U.S is expected to introduce its traditional art troupes performing at Hue Festival to strengthen cultural cooperation and to introduce Hue culture and Vietnamese culture to the American people.

The U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam once again affirmed that dealing with war consequences is a matter of great concern for the US. During the past time, the U.S has been very active in deploying mine clearance in A Luoi. Hue being a green city is the goal that the U.S. is aiming at. The issues that Thua Thien Hue cares about will also be paid more attention and promoted by the U.S. in the coming time.
