Enhancing the effectiveness of training on Asian legal history

HNN.VN - On the morning of July 25th, the University of Law, Hue University, opens the 4th International Scientific Conference on “Asian Legal History.”

The conference, organized by the University of Law, Hue University in collaboration with the Faculty of Law, University of Oxford, UK, and the Faculty of Law, Chinese University of Hong Kong, China.

Participating in the conference were numerous scholars and professors from various countries around the world, including the UK, China, Japan, India, and Singapore, as well as law training institutions in Vietnam.

According to the delegates attending the conference, the history of world law in general and that of Asia in particular have always been subjects of significant interest. The history of the law is dynamic and ever evolving, be it in the present or in the future. This requires ongoing research and clarification by theorists and practitioners alike. This perspective not only addresses legal viewpoints but also incorporates cultural, historical, traditional, and political institutional elements specific to each historical period and country.

The conference received 81 reports from numerous scholars from different countries and territories, as well as from domestic and international legal education and research institutions.

In his opening speech, Associate Professor Dr. Doan Duc Luong, Director of the University of Law, Hue University, emphasized that the participation of scientists and managers from many prestigious universities worldwide at the conference provides an opportunity for meeting, sharing information, experiences, and initiating new, high-value scientific collaborations.

Moreover, the conference is expected to foster valuable scientific exchanges, debates, and feedback, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of research and training on Asian legal history in the future.

The conference ran over two days, July 25th and 26th, featuring 10 sessions, including 8 thematic group sessions and 2 plenary sessions.
