Presenting 45 scholarships worth 18,000 USD

HNN.VN - On the afternoon of December 2, Hue University held a ceremony to present scholarships from the Vietnam Educational and Social Assistance Foundation (VESAF, NFP) to 45 students.

Addressing the scholarship presentation ceremony, Dr. Bui Van Loi, Deputy Director of Hue University informed that this is the fourth year that students of Hue University have received scholarships from this foundation. This time, 45 students studying at University of Medicine and Pharmacy, University of Agriculture and Forestry, University of Economics, and University of Sciences were honored to receive the scholarships (each worth 400 USD). The VESAF scholarship is a continuing scholarship. This means that if students maintain their academic achievement, they will continue to receive the scholarship for the following years from their first day to university until graduation.

VESAF, NFP Foundation is a non-profit organization based in the US, and it was established from February, 2018. The foundation was founded to implement programs and projects to alleviate poverty and improve the quality of life for people, such as programs for building bridges, roads, houses of affection, clean water wells, providing credit support and vocational opportunities in diversified production industries, as well as presenting scholarships to poor students, etc.

On behalf of Hue University, Dr. Bui Van Loi expressed gratitude and hoped that in the coming years, students in difficult circumstances studying at units under Hue University would continue to be supported by VESAF, NFP Foundation and the Fund of Hearts for Hue.
