Awarding the title "Honorary Citizen of Thua Thien Hue Province" to two foreign women

HNN.VN - On the morning of March 7, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting and awarded the title "Honorary Citizen of Thua Thien Hue Province" to Ms. Andrea Teufel, Chief Representative of the German Association for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage; and Ms. Kazuyo Watanabe, Chief Executive Officer of the Asian Children’s Care League.

 Mr. Le Truong Luu, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee ( 2nd from the right) congratulated the two individuals who were awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of Thua Thien Hue Province

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, affirmed that the awarding ceremony of the title "Honorary Citizen of Thua Thien Hue Province" aimed to recognize, honor and spread the continuous contributions of the two individuals.

Chairman Nguyen Van Phuong thanked Ms. Kazuyo Watanabe for her valuable contributions in helping and treating children with cancer and did so with Ms. Andrea Teufel for her valuable contributions in the work of preserving and restoring heritages in Thua Thien Hue.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong hopes that they will continue their deeds with the spirit of enthusiasm, and join hands to build Thua Thien Hue to become a more and more developed and happy province.

On the occasion of International Women's Day March 8, he wished them good health, happiness and new achievements in their careers.

Ms. Andrea Teufel and Ms. Kazuyo Watanabe hope that in the near future, they will continue to accompany Thua Thien Hue in many more programs and projects, to contribute to bringing a better life to the land they were attached to, which they consider their second homeland.
