215 Vallet Scholarships Awarded to Students

This year, the Vallet Scholarship Fund awarded 215 scholarships to students in Hue, including 152 scholarships for school students and 63 for university students. Each scholarship was worth VND 17 million for school students and VND 34 million for university students, bringing the total value of the scholarships to more than VND 4.7 billion.

Addressing the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang expressed his gratitude to Prof. Odon Vallie, Prof. Tran Thanh Van, Prof. Le Kim Ngoc, and Prof. Esperan Panodou, as well as sponsors, organization, and individuals, for their attention and support for education and talent development in Hue.

Since 2001, Vallet Scholarships have been awarded annually to talented students and those with outstanding academic or research achievements across Vietnam. In 2026, approximately 2,100 Vallet Scholarships will be awarded nationwide, with total funding exceeding VND 45 billion.

Since 2007, the Meeting Vietnam Association has selected national prize-winning mathematics students to study abroad in France. By 2026, in 16 cohorts in cooperation with the University of Education, Hue University, the program had selected 247 students to pursue their studies in France. In late August 2026, another 32 students departed for France to begin their studies. The program continues to enroll students under a joint training scheme approved by the Ministry of Education and Training.

In addition, the Meeting Vietnam Association has carried out various community support activities, including the establishment of Vallet Libraries at Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted and Hai Ba Trung High School. To date, the two libraries have received more than VND 4.5 billion in funding and 55,000 books, some of which have been donated to libraries in remote and disadvantaged areas.
