Vibrant Hot-air Balloon Festival
HNN.VN - On the afternoon of April 13, at Ham Nghi yard (on 23/8 St., Hue City), the Department of Tourism coordinated with HEXA Media Communication Joint Stock Company to organize the international Hot-air Balloon Festival 2023 with the theme “Hue – Beauty of the Ancient Capital”.

This is an out-standing activity in the chain of festivals of Hue Festival 2023; contributing to promoting Hue tourism to tourists at home and abroad.
Visitors coming to the festival will get the chance to witness a great number of hot-air balloons with full of colors, sizes, and types. This is also an opportunity for those in love with discovering new things to directly access the experience of being in the hot-air balloons and enjoy the panorama of Hue Citadel.

Tourists are able to experience the free flying to contemplate the sunrise and sunset over the Ancient Capital and the main rural areas, which is one of the festival’s highlights. The Hue’s most beautiful landscapes such as the Huong River, Ngu Mountain, Tam Giang Lagoon, and fields in the downstream of the Huong River, etc., will be fully enjoyed from the hot-air balloons.
Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Director of the Department of Tourism said that the hot-air balloon festival this year was organized on the same occasion with Marathon Vnexpress Hue 2023 and ahead of the Hue Traditional Craft Festival (from April 28 to May 5).
This is an event to create a tourism highlight in the first month of summer tourism season and add more entertainment activities to serve thousands of athletes, relatives, runners coming to Hue to attend Marathon Vnexpress and the local people.
The festival lasts until the end of April 20. It starts from 6:00 to 8:30 in the morning, and from 17:00 to 19:00 in the afternoon.
