Thua Thien Hue welcomes first maritime tourists

There are about 1,200 tourists visiting Huế, Đà Nẵng and Hội An

At 7:00 a.m., Celebrity Constellation Cruise, with a brand nationality of Malta, brought 2,038 visitors and 999 crew members to Chân Mây port in a warm welcome from tourism authorities of Thừa Thiên Huế province. Every visitor received a fresh flower bouquet, souvenir, and new year wishes. Tourists also enjoyed the traditional unicorn-dragon-lion dance.

This maritime tourist welcoming activity expressed the spirit of hospitality and friendliness of people from the ancient capital, creating tourists’ sympathy towards Huế city. It also contributed to promoting sustainable tourism growth, active integration and effective competition with provinces/cities in the region on the basis of exploiting the provincial potentials and advantages to improve service quality and diversify tourism products.

This was also an opportunity for Chân Mây Port Joint Stock Company to introduce Chân Mây Port with an advantage of central location among tourist attractions of Huế, Đà Nẵng, and Hội An, which offered many choices suitable for each visitor’s hobby. It is known that Chan May Port welcomed 54 cruises with 134,100 passengers in 2018.

Leaders of the tourism industry are giving flowers to cruise sailors

Mr. Nguyễn Văn Phúc, Vice Director of the Department of Tourism said that the activity started the series of cultural, sports and tourism events of the province in 2019, including Huế Traditional Craft Festival, Huế International Marathon Day, International Coupe de Hue Cycling Tournament, some festivals associated with tourism and cuisine.... The Department would continue to promote and introduce the culture, landscapes and people of Vietnam in general and Thừa Thiên Huế province in particular to domestic and foreign tourists.

Through these activities, the tourism industry also wished to introduce new local products and destinations, to demonstrate community’s friendliness and thoughtful and professional interests of those who work in the tourism sector for tourists, and to enhance the beautiful image of Huế - an attractive, safe and friendly tourist destination for visitors from all over the world.

Also, on the morning of January 28th, the tourism industry also organized a visit to Celebrity Constellation cruise for businesses to study and do research to build tour routes in the coming time. Celebrity Constellation cruise is considered a miniature city with 5-star restaurants, cafes, bars, theaters, art rooms, casinos...
