Hue tourism expected to welcome over 300,000 visitors during the April 30 - May 1 holiday

HNN.VN - On the morning of April 29, information from the Department of Tourism indicated that, through statistics on room bookings at accommodation establishments and a synthesis of related data, Hue tourism is projected to welcome approximately over 300,000 visitors during the April 30 - May 1 holiday.

 The number of visitors to Hue for tourism experiences during the April 30 - May 1 holiday is expected to increase significantly

Specifically, it is estimated that Hue will receive nearly 60,000 international visitors and over 240,000 domestic visitors. Among these, the total number of overnight guests is estimated to reach nearly 100,000 (nearly 30,000 international guests, and about 70,000 domestic guests). Total tourism revenue is estimated to be over 600 billion VND, with hotel occupancy rates expected to exceed 96%.

During the April 30 - May 1 holiday, many highlighted events and activities will be organized, including: the “Hue - Culinary Capital” program taking place from April 29 to May 2 at Thuong Bac Park; the exhibition themed “Tourism destinations, cultural heritage, scenic spots, and traditional Vietnamese handicraft products” taking place from April 27 to May 2, 2025, at Hue City Center for Culture and Cinema; and the “Countryside market in the festival” program in response to the National Tourism Year and Hue Festival 2025 at the Thanh Toan tiled-roof bridge (Cau ngoi Thanh Toan) community-based tourism site (Thuy Thanh Commune, Huong Thuy Town) from April 30 to May 4, along with many other programs and activities.

Director of the Department of Tourism, Ms. Tran Thi Hoai Tram, stated that, to serve the locals and visitors during the April 30 - May 1, 2025 holiday in a thoughtful and safe manner, Hue tourism industry has proactively coordinated with relevant authorities to synchronously implement many solutions and tourism stimulus plans throughout the year, specifically: strengthening security and order assurance, environmental sanitation, food safety and hygiene, controlling service prices, as well as organizing attractive entertainment activities, etc., so as to meet the sightseeing and relaxation needs of the locals and visitors.

In addition, to ensure the safety and quality of services for visitors, the Department has requested tourism businesses and tourist sites/attractions in the area to make thorough preparations for welcoming visitors during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, such as: improving the quality of services, enhancing the quality of tourism products, as well as preparing sufficient and professional human and material resources ready to serve visitors to Hue. Special attention is being paid to ensuring visitor safety in terms of fire prevention and fighting, food safety and hygiene, transportation, and information support, etc.

Many travel agencies in the area have also proactively conducted surveys and developed new tourism products to serve visitors during the April 30 - May 1 holiday in particular and the summer occasion in general, such as heritage exploration and experience tours, Tam Giang lagoon experience tours, and long-distance walking tours to explore nature (trekking) in Bach Ma National Park, etc.
