The year 2026, the first year of implementing Resolution 72-NQ/TW on breakthrough solutions for protecting and improving public health, marks a new turning point for healthcare in Hue City. Building on the strong foundation of Hue Central Hospital, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University; and a primary healthcare system undergoing comprehensive reform, Hue is steadily affirming its position as a center for advanced, specialized medical care, with a vision toward becoming a regional hub in Southeast Asia.

On the morning of December 29, the Department of Science and Technology held a scientific workshop themed “Analysis and Proposed Solutions to Enhance Local Innovation Index (PII), Digital Transformation, and Develop Hue City’s Innovative Startup Ecosystem for the 2026-2030 period”.

Organized for the first time by Hue University, the “Hue University Innovation Solutions Competition - 2025” not only recognizes innovative initiatives but also motivates lecturers to sustain creativity, foster the inspiration of innovation and startups among students.

On the afternoon of December 17, Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, in coordination with the Tourism Development Support Fund and the Department of Tourism of Hue City, organized the National Conference on Net Zero Tourism in Hue. On the afternoon of November 28, Hue University organized the final round and award ceremony of the “1st Hue University Innovation Solutions Competition - 2025”.

The “Digital identification and Exhibition of Nguyen Dynasty antiquities” solution of Hue Monuments Conservation Center, has just won the Vietnam Digital Awards 2025. This achievement affirms Hue's pioneering position in the journey to bring heritage into the digital age.

On the afternoon of November 21st, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) held a workshop titled: “Solutions to Improve the Qualifications of Research work force, Technology, and Business Management Personnel to Apply and Master High Technology and Advanced Technology in Order to Increase Productivity and Quality of Key Products in the City, Aiming toward Developing National Products”. The discussion focused on solutions to elevate Hue cajeput essential oil into a national-level product.

On the morning of November 14, Hue University organized the semi-final round of the “1st Hue University Innovation Solutions Competition - 2025”.

In recent years, along with the orientation of building Hue into the first bicycle city in Vietnam, green transportation solutions have been increasingly emphasized, in which, the electric-assist conversion kit for bicycles developed by VierCycle, a young engineering team, is being considered a new solution, which is both modern and suitable for the characteristics of a small and peaceful city like Hue.

In line with the National Tourism Year, Thuan Hoa district has been carrying out various solutions to attract tourists to visit and stay in the locality.
