On August 8th, nearly 20 of Vietnam’s leading F&B (food and beverage) brands gathered at the “F&B Hue 2025: The F&B 5.0 Model” event, where they shared practical insights into development trends and applicable solutions for the food and beverage sector. The event was organized by Hue F&B Community and drew a large number of business representatives, shop owners, and others with a keen interest in food and beverage scene in the area.

That was the theme of the national-level scientific conference organized on June 21 by the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Hue City (Union of Associations) in collaboration with the Department of Health, the Department of Science and Technology, Hue Central Hospital, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, the Public Health and Preventive Medicine Association, and the Infectious Diseases Association of the city. The event gathered leading experts in health, environment, and agriculture - forestry from Vietnam and abroad.

With ample room for growth, the fusion of music and tourism can attract a large number of tourists, turning tourism and related services into major revenue generators. If Hue succeeds in this endeavor, it could offer a solution to the city’s long-standing problem of lacking nighttime entertainment services.

Hue traditional music is a unique cultural heritage. In the face of rapid technological development and shifting public tastes, efforts to preserve and promote the value of this heritage are facing numerous challenges. In this context, Blockchain has emerged as a pioneering solution, helping to preserve and promote Hue traditional music sustainably and creatively.

On the morning of March 14, Hue City People’s Committee held a conference titled “Reports on the results of the survey to identify issues and solutions for drainage and wastewater treatment in Hue City”. Attending the program were Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Hoang Hai Minh; and Mr. Tamoto Norihide, Policy Advisor on Drainage, JICA expert at the Ministry of Construction.

On February 10th, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong - Deputy Secretary of Hue Party Committee and Chairman of Hue People's Committee, held an online meeting with Ms. Le Thi Thu Thuy, an authorized representative of Vingroup.

Held from December 13 to 15, the 19th National Cardiovascular Congress, with the theme “Cardiology in the New Era: The Path to the World,” is hosted by Thua Thien Hue. This event is not only an opportunity for scientists to share knowledge and experience but also a chance to update ontechnical advancements and new solutions to reduce the disease burden and improve the quality of life for the public.

The Digital Transformation Week - Hue 2024, themed “Artificial Intelligence (AI) Accelerating Socio-Economic Development,” is expected to present solutions for digital transformation (DT) utilizing AI, contributing to the advancement of the digital society and digital economy. Mr. Nguyen Duong Anh, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications, shared insights about this important initiative with Thua Thien Hue Weekly.

On October 5th, the Vietnam Digital Media Association and VietTimes e-magazine held the Vietnam Digital Awards 2024 ceremony in Hanoi. Hue Monuments Conservation Center (HMCC) was honored in the category of Outstanding digital transformation by public service and business units with its solution “Applying digital technology to conserve and promote the values of Hue’s heritage.”

This is the goal set by Hue University. Achieving this will not only enhance the role and position of the Institute of Biotechnology in particular and Hue University in general but also the status of the centrally governed city in the coming time.
