On the morning of October 17, on the journey to Vietnam, Ovation of the Seas Cruise Ship carrying over 4,000 passengers docked at Chan May Port.

On the morning of August 22, in Hue City, Kinh Do Specialty Joint Stock Company in cooperation with Hue One Food Joint Stock Company held a ceremony of shipping the first container of Hue cakes to the U.S. market.

On the morning of January 9, the Department of Tourism in collaboration with Chan May Port Joint Stock Company and Saigontourist Travel Services Co., Ltd held a program of welcoming the first cruise ship and tourists to Hue City by sea in 2025.

With his invention, young engineer Hoang Huu Dao (born in 1983, residing at 60 Phan Chu Trinh, Hue City) has supported the transportation of goods, liberating many workers and shippers across the country from labor. His product has by degrees grown and affirmed the “brand” with many convenient “Loc Phat (Prosperity) Motorbike Cargo Rack” lines.

This December 2023, the Regional Container Lines (RCL) from Thailand opened an international container shipping route to Chan May port. This shows not only the potential and advantages of the port but also a driving force and catalyst contributing to the development of the Chan May-Lang Co Economic Zone in particular and Thua Thien Hue province in general.

Cruise ship tourists are high-end ones. In addition to spending heavily in the places they visit, cruise ship tourists also contribute to spreading the appeal of the destination. The thing is, however, how to attract this type of tourist, the solution of which lies in investing in creating attractive products right from the “gateway” of Chan May Port, all the way to Hue City.

On Con Co island, I could only take advantage of the little time when the field work mission had lunch to "type" the laptop at full speed. When the fleet of ships whistled off the island and continued patrolling, it was also the time when the information from the mission trip to the sea and the island was "on air" to readers. For journalists, it is a great happiness. A hungry stomach or sleep-deprived eyes are just "small things".

On the business trip, I recorded my emotions of the naval soldiers with all my heart. The trip covered the reporters from many central and local newspapers, radio stations, and the Naval Region 3 working delegation, who boarded the ship KN-390 patrolling the sea to visit and extend New Year's greetings to officers, soldiers and people on Con Co and Ly Son islands.

On January 16, Silver Spirit cruise ship docked at Chan May port for the first time in 2023, bringing nearly 200 tourists to visit and experience tourism in Hue Ancient Capital.
