Officially exporting the first shipment of Hue specialty cakes to the US market

HNN.VN - On the morning of August 22, in Hue City, Kinh Do Specialty Joint Stock Company in cooperation with Hue One Food Joint Stock Company held a ceremony of shipping the first container of Hue cakes to the U.S. market.

The first shipment is ready to be exported to the US market 

The shipment consists of nearly 400,000 pieces of nam cakes (flat rice flour cakes with shrimp topping), loc cakes (tapioca dumplings), and it cakes (glutinous flour round cakes), which are known as traditional cakes closely tied to the daily life of Hue locals. The products are processed and packaged following U.S. standards, ensuring quality and food safety requirements. In total, the shipment is packed in approximately 2,000 boxes, with a combined weight of around 13 tons. The entire shipment is being transported in a standard 40-foot container.

A representative of Kinh Do Specialty Joint Stock Company stated that this shipment is not just an export activity but also a “journey to bring home flavors to international friends”. The company expressed the hope that Hue cakes will become a cultural bridge, helping the international community better understand the exquisite value of Hue cuisine in particular and Vietnamese cuisine in general.

In addition to the launch event for the first container of Hue cakes to the US, there was also a seminar titled “Hue Culinary Culture - The Youth’s Aspiration to Reach Far”, which attracted the participation of many young businesses and culinary experts. The discussions focused on preserving, innovating, and introducing Hue cuisine to the global market, while also inspiring creativity and the ambition of the younger generation to expand beyond borders.
