The Vietnam - Japan Local Cooperation Forum 2026 (the Forum) is expected to resolve obstacles, accelerate ODA-funded projects, attract investment, strengthen educational ties, and establish a mechanism for annual cooperation between localities of the two countries, contributing to creating momentum for Hue City’s economic breakthrough and deeper international integration.

On the afternoon of August 19th, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh led a delegation on a field trip to inspect investment and production activities at Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone and Phu Bai Industrial Park. Marking the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), on the afternoon of July 21, the city leaders visited and presented gifts to families of people with meritorious service to the revolution in several localities, and encouraged the teams currently tasked with searching for and repatriating martyrs’ remains.

On the evening of June 22, Hue Tourism Association, in collaboration with the Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City, the National Tourism Agency of Belarus, and the Belarusian Tourism Industry Association, held an online seminar to connect and promote tourism connections between Hue City and Belarusian localities.
