At the heart of the Imperial City of Hue, the 180-year-old Co Mat Vien (Supreme council for military and major state affairs of the Nguyen Dynasty) is gradually being revitalized in a new guise. Following the directive from the Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, on November 10, Hue City Civil Defense Steering Committee issued an official dispatch requesting the People's Committees of wards and communes in the city to conduct surveys to mark the highest flood traces during the flooding event, from October 25 to November 3, within the premises of offices, schools, low-lying routes, public works, and flood warning towers in the local areas.

With a total score of 29.25 in the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, Tran Gia Phuc, a 12th grade student from Math-specialized Class 1 at Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted, achieved the highest score for Combination B00 in Hue City and ranked among the top four highest scorers of this block nationwide.

Truong Van Hung, a 12th-grade student from the Math specialized class 2 at Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted, has just become the top scorer of the A00 exam group of Hue City, the second-highest nationwide, and also the candidate with the highest total score among all exam group top-scorers in Hue City in the 2025 National High School Graduation Exam.

For the first time, Hue City is in the top 10 localities with the highest score distribution in the national high school graduation exam. This result is a clear evidence of the correct and sustainable direction of Hue City's education sector in recent years.

In the second phase of the 2025 Aptitude Test organized by Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, Mai Quang Minh Tri, a grade 12th student specialized in mathematics at Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted, earned the highest score with 1.122 points.

Data compiled from the Google Destination Insights travel trend tracker reveals that Vietnam has the 7th highest destination growth rate globally. Notably, Hue is among the top 10 most searched cities in Vietnam by international visitors.

The inaugural Van Xa “Steps of Ancient Fragrance” Race 2025, organized by the People’s Committee of Huong Van Ward (Huong Tra Town), will be kicked off on the morning of April 27th. As of April 24th, over 2,000 runners have registered, making it the local race with the highest number of participants ever recorded.

In the 2024-2025 National Excellent Student Exam, students from Hue City achieved 85 awards, placing Thua Thien Hue among the top-performing provinces nationwide. This marks a record-breaking year with the highest number of national awards ever achieved by the city’s teams.
