In recent years, Hue City has strongly mobilized resources from international organizations to promote green transportation, gradually building a green city with sustainable development.

In recent years, along with the orientation of building Hue into the first bicycle city in Vietnam, green transportation solutions have been increasingly emphasized, in which, the electric-assist conversion kit for bicycles developed by VierCycle, a young engineering team, is being considered a new solution, which is both modern and suitable for the characteristics of a small and peaceful city like Hue.

Hue City is promoting green transportation through practical solutions, including electric buses, public bicycles, charging stations, smart parking lots, and applications that support residents in changing their travel habits. This approach aligns with urban characteristics, laying the foundation for a city with low-emission, sustainable, and livable in.

On the afternoon of September 4th, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, held a meeting with the leaders of Viet Personal Mobility Co., Ltd. (PM). The discussion centered on green transportation and the "Clean & Green Smart Hue City" project.

With the goal of building environmentally friendly Green Transport infrastructure, in line with the overall economic development orientation of the province in the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, on June 14, Hue Monuments Conservation Center and Gbike Co., Ltd. (South Korea) signed a cooperation agreement to implement a green transport project in the relic area to exploit and promote the values of Hue relics.

This is the topic of a media creativity contest, which is organized by Thua Thien Hue Institute for Development Studies (HueIDS) in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), to promote and raise the awareness of green transportation in Hue City.

On the afternoon of November 1, in Hanoi, the provincial delegation, led by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Hai Minh, had a working session with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on the contents related to projects on planning, green transportation and climate change. Mr. Shantanu Chakraborty, the ADB Country Director for Vietnam, worked with the delegation.

Hue City needs to develop an overall green transport development plan that integrates with other development activities, one of which isthe appropriate roadmaps together with an integrated and environmentally-friendly transport network.
