As part of activities promoting the Vietnam - Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, on September 5, in Hue, the Vietnam - Japan Center for Cultural and Educational Cooperation Promotion (VJCE) coordinated with the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka to organize the Vietnam - Japan Education Exchange and Cooperation Program 2026.

This morning (September 5), more than 302,000 students across the city joined in the nationwide atmosphere of excitement, officially beginning the 2026 - 2027 academic year, as the Opening Ceremony was held simultaneously at educational institutions.

The Vietnam - Japan Local Cooperation Forum 2026 (the Forum) is expected to resolve obstacles, accelerate ODA-funded projects, attract investment, strengthen educational ties, and establish a mechanism for annual cooperation between localities of the two countries, contributing to creating momentum for Hue City’s economic breakthrough and deeper international integration.

On the morning of August 29, a series of cultural and educational events took place at the Ngo Mon Square, including a reenactment of the Truyen Lo Ceremony from the Nguyen Dynasty, the announcement of Hue’s Heritage Promotion Ambassador, and a ceremony honoring the ‘School Honor Students’ of the 2025 - 2026 academic year.

From August 25 to 27, an intensive training program for Happy School trainers for the 2026-2027 academic year was held in Hue, bringing together a core team of education officials and teachers. The program marks an important preparatory step toward integrating the spirit and values of Happy Schools into educational institutions across the city.

On the afternoon of July 4, Phu Xuan University collaborated with ELRD and EdulightenUp to hold an educational seminar under the theme “The Art of Leadership by Empathy and Transformation”.

On the afternoon of June 30, Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted welcomed a delegation of outstanding teachers and students from the Nguyen Du Lao - Vietnamese Bilingual School (Lao People's Democratic Republic) for a visit, exchange program, and tour to learn about the school's traditions.

On the morning of April 18, the Kun Marathon Hue 2026 officially kicked off at Ngo Mon Square, attracting more than 2,500 young runners from various provinces and cities across the country. Kun Marathon Hue 2026 was held in response to the VnExpress Marathon Hue 2026 (scheduled for April 19). In addition to the familiar 700-meter run combined with obstacle challenges set within Hue’s heritage space, this year’s event carried the message “Protect All Species” and incorporated a series of educational and experiential environmental activities.

On April 9, Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences organized the Dynamic Female Students Festival at Nguyen Tri Phuong Secondary School. The event was held as part of the Institute’s project on promoting sports development for girls in secondary schools.
