On the evening of March 14th, at the hall of Nguyen Tri Phuong Secondary School, the Institut Français de Hué, in coordination with Hue Vietnam - France Friendship Association and local educational institutions, organized Francophonie Night 2026. The activity is part of a series of events celebrating International Francophonie Day and attracted a large number of students.

This morning (March 15), along with voters across the country, voters in Hue headed to the polls to participate in the Election for deputies to the 16th National Assembly of Vietnam and members of the People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

In the joyful atmosphere of the national election day, from early morning members of the Standing Committee of Hue City Party Committee went directly to polling areas to exercise their civic rights and responsibilities, while also inspecting and monitoring the organization of the election across the city.

With systematic, coordinated, and well-organized preparations, Hue City is now ready for the election of the deputies to the 16th National Assembly and members of People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term. Regarding the key tasks in the final stage before the Election Day, a reporter from Hue Today Newspaper spoke with Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Hue City People’s Committee, and Vice Chairman of the Hue City Election Committee.

On the morning of March 10, a traditional boat racing took place on a section of the Bo River passing through the Van Cu - Nam Thanh Residential Area (Kim Tra Ward). This is one of the key highlights in the series of activities of the Ba Bun Worship Ceremony, held over two days from March 9 to 10.

Kim Tra Ward Culinary Festival took place over 2 days, March 9 and 10, at the Exhibition House of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage “Van Cu Rice Noodle Craft” (Van Cu - Nam Thanh residential area), drawing the participation of a large number of residents and visitors.

In Bao Vinh Old Town, Ms. Tran Thi Minh Phung still carefully holds her brush each day to paint on glass, just as her family has done for generations. As most of the artisans from the old days have nearly disappeared, the hands of this woman in her fifties have become a place where a craft once closely associated with the royal art of Hue is being preserved.

On the afternoon of March 7, Nguyen Hue High School, in collaboration with various universities, colleges, and language centers in Hue and across the country, organized the Career Guidance Day in the academic year 2025 - 2026 for more than 600 12th-grade students.
