On April 18, at Secret Affairs Institute - Tam Toa Complex (No. 33, Tong Duy Tan Street, Phu Xuan Ward), Hue Monuments Conservation Center opened the exhibition “Stories from Ancient Manuscripts.” The event responds to Hue Festival 2026 - the Summer Festival themed “The Shining Citadel” and looks ahead to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21).

On the morning of April 17th, Hue City Association of Persons with Disabilities – Patronage Association for Persons with Disabilities and Orphans held a ceremony marking Vietnam Persons with Disabilities Day (April 18) under the theme “Promoting the Right to Participation of Persons with Disabilities – Creating Breakthroughs for Development”.

On the morning of April 16, Hue City Association of the Blind organized a seminar to commemorate the 70th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's visit to the School for Blind War Veterans (1956 - 2026), the 57th anniversary of the Establishment of the Vietnam Blind Association (April 17, 1969 - April 17, 2026), and the 28th anniversary of Vietnam Disability Day (April 18, 1998 - April 18, 2026).

On the morning of April 16th, the University of Sciences, Hue University organized a series of activities in response to the 5th “Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day” 2026, attracting a large number of staff, lecturers, and students.

In response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21), on April 13, the Phu Xuan Ward Women's Union officially launched a reading space themed “Phu Xuan - Culture and Heritage”. The space is located at the Community Cultural House, 103 Nhat Le Street.

Inside a workshop thick with the scent of cement on Lai The Street (My Thuong Ward), there is a craftsman who remains devoted, day after day, to the meticulous work of casting bonsai pots. He is Nguyen Van Nhan, 53 years old, with 15 years of experience dedicated to creating pots tailored specifically for bonsai artworks.

On the morning of April 11, at Secret Affairs Institute - Tam Toa Complex, Hue Monuments Conservation Center, in coordination with Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities, Hai Ba Trung High School, and Nguyen Hue High School, organized a heritage education program titled “Reforms of Emperor Minh Mang”, in celebration of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21).

In the artistic space of Boi Tran Garden during the final days of March, an exhibition was held for the first time that was not only a source of inspiration for artists alone. For the art-loving public, it felt like a grand masterpiece - one that harmoniously blends people with nature.

During this season, from late March to early April, Hue still carries a slight chill in late night and early morning, offering many cool parts throughout the day. On the afternoon of March 29, at Hue Book and Culture Space (23 - 25 Le Loi Street), the Hair Donation Day, with the message “Giving hair - Giving love”, attracted a large number of students and residents. The event was organized by the “One painting - Many hopes” project in collaboration with Thuan Hoa Ward Public Career Service Center, and Hue Book and Culture Club, with the support from Loan Nguyen hair salon.
