Vietnam in the post-war years, the old streets of Hanoi and Saigon in the early 1970s, and the simple rhythms of life during the country's early years of economic reform are vividly brought to life through 27 remarkable photographic works by three French artists at the exhibition “Vietnam Crossroads”, which opened on the afternoon of June 13th.

On the morning of January 23, Hue City Red Cross Society, in coordination with Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of Phu Loc and Vinh Loc Communes, organized a program to distribute Lunar New Year gifts for the Spring of Binh Ngo 2026 (the Year of Horse) to poor and near-poor households, families in difficult circumstances, and those severely affected by natural disasters in 2025 in Phu Loc and Vinh Loc Communes. The program was funded by support from Thien Tam Fund of Vingroup.

On November 20, Hue City Red Cross launched the program of presenting 1,000 gifts to households affected and damaged by the recent exceptionally severe floods. The funding was allocated by Vietnam Red Cross Central Committee through the “Joining Hands to Overcome Floods” program, aiming to promptly help residents stabilize their lives after the disaster.

On the morning of October 2nd, at Hue Central Hospital, H.T.N. (45 years old, Thuy Xuan, Hue City) was officially discharged in stable health after nearly three weeks recovering from a remarkable cross-Vietnam heart transplant. This was the 20th successful heart transplant carried out at Hue Central Hospital, marking another important milestone in Vietnam’s field of cardiac surgery and organ transplantation.

On the morning of August 1, Hue City Red Cross held a conference to launch the project titled “Disaster response for animals in Vietnam”. This is the first time that this project has been implemented in Hue with the sponsor from World Animal Protection, an international organization.

Transporting organs by civilian air is a groundbreaking initiative in cross-country organ transplants in Vietnam. The journey of receiving and continuously transporting organs through various means of transportation is filled with countless unpredictable situations. Doctors and medical staff at Hue Central Hospital (HCH) compare this race against time to something even more nerve-wracking than a movie!

On the morning of January 12, the Standing Committee of the City Youth Union – the Secretariat of the City Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, in collaboration with Hue Central Hospital, Hue University, Red Cross Society, and the Executive Board of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the city, organized the 17th “Red Sunday” voluntary blood donation festival in 2025.
