Mr. Nguyen Dang Truong, Director of Hue City Management Board of Projects on Constructing Transportation Works, said that from 6:30 a.m., Thuan An sea-gate overpass has officially been opened to traffic.

As of now, the project has basically completed its key components, including asphalt paving of the bridge deck, the lighting system, railings, traffic signs, and lane markings, allowing it to be put into initial operation.

The remaining components, including sidewalks and the end-of-route drainage system, will continue to be completed, with the entire project to be finished by June 30.

Construction of the coastal road through Hue City and Thuan An sea gate overpass began on March 24, 2022, with completion originally set for March 23, 2025. However, troubles in site clearance have delayed the project.

The first phase of the coastal road and Thuan An sea gate overpass project is valued at approximately VND 2.4 trillion, including over VND 2.088 trillion in construction costs.

The remaining works, including sidewalks and the end-of-route drainage system, will continue to be finalized

The project begins at the intersection of National Highway 49B - Tam Giang Bridge and ends at the junction of National Highways 49A - 49B, with a total length of approximately 7.785 km, including about 2.36 km for Thuan An sea-gate overpass and roughly 5.3 km of roadway.

The project is invested by Hue City Management Board of Projects on Constructing Transportation Works. The construction consortium comprises Tan Nam Construction JSC, Dat Phuong Group JSC, and 479 Hoa Binh JSC.
