This year’s National Day vacation (September 2nd) is again bringing a surge of tourists to Hue. By hosting the Hue Heritage and International Music Festival 2026 - Hue Wonderverse Music Fest 2026, which is scheduled from August 30 to September 1, alongside the National Day Holiday on September 2, Hue City is expected to witness a surge in tourist arrivals. This may lead to a local ‘fully booked’ situation at certain peak times. Drawing from the experience of the last April 30 - May 1 holiday, the local tourism sector is developing plans to enhance its reception capacity and service quality.

Following the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day, Hue continues to see a surge in visitors during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, with occupancy rates at many accommodation establishments are near full capacity. The influx has pushed the tourism sector and businesses to ramp up efforts to ensure both service quality and flexible management of operations, heading to the goals of enhancing visitor experiences and reaching industry development.

To timely serve visitors during the upcoming Hung Kings Commemoration Day and the April 30 - May 1 holidays, on April 22, the Department of Tourism announced communication channels to provide information on accommodation and tourism services.

After the historic flooding season in late October 2025, while various areas were still deeply submerged in water, thousands of workers had to temporarily stop working, businesses in Hue City promptly stepped in to share the burden, from providing cash support, salary advances, and safe accommodations to help workers overcome difficulties and quickly stabilize production.

A number of hotels, training centers, and educational institutions… have announced that they will provide free accommodation for people during the period of complex weather developments. This kind gesture warms many hearts amid the typhoon and rainy season.

On the morning of September 25, the City Tourism Association in collaboration with Hotel Association, and Hue College of Tourism held the 2025 Receptionist Skills Competition for officers and receptionists working at hotels and accommodations in the city area.

Aiming to create a clean, friendly tourism environment for the health of the community, efforts to prevent and control the harmful effects of tobacco at accommodation facilities, hotels, and resorts in Hue City have recently been strengthened and effectively implemented. Many hotels not only strictly comply with legal regulations but have also creatively developed smoke-free models in alignment with green and sustainable tourism development.

On the morning of April 29, information from the Department of Tourism indicated that, through statistics on room bookings at accommodation establishments and a synthesis of related data, Hue tourism is projected to welcome approximately over 300,000 visitors during the April 30 - May 1 holiday.

The intense competition among domestic tourism destinations and the increasing demand of visitors require further investment in infrastructure and modernization of destinations, including high-end infrastructure and accommodation services.
