On the afternoon of August 5th, during a courtesy meeting with a delegation from Kyoto Environmental Activities Association (KEAA) led by Honorary Professor Tatsuro Niikawa, President of KEAA., Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, reaffirmed that Hue highly values and wishes to further strengthen its friendship and cooperation with Kyoto, a city that shares many similarities with Hue in terms of history, culture, and the vision of sustainable heritage urban development.

More than just a beach destination, it is also a place where local life unfolds, with leisure activities, seafood trading and beachside services coming together to create the unique rhythm of a coastal community at sunrise.

On the afternoon of July 30, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang received and held a working session with a delegation from Yulin City, Guangxi Province (China), led by Mr. Tran Thuy, Deputy Secretary-General (Deputy Chief of Office) of the Yulin City Party Committee.

On the evening of July 25th, at Thuong Bac Park, the Department of Tourism, in collaboration with partner organizations, staged the "Bun bo Hue - The Legend of Van Cu and Huong Ngu Symphony" performance, a signature event of Hue - Culinary Capital 2026 program. The event was attended by Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Member of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee.

On the evening of July 23, at Thuong Bac Park in Phu Xuan Ward, Hue City, Hue - Culinary Capital 2026 program, themed ‘Bun bo Hue (Hue beef noodle soup) Day’, officially opened. The program is led by the Department of Tourism, in coordination with relevant units, as part of Hue Festival 2026 series of events.

From July 16 to 21, a delegation from Hue City, led by Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang, attended the 48th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee (WHC48) in Busan, South Korea. During the visit, the delegation also organized a series of large-scale cultural and tourism promotion events in Seoul and Busan.

“Books and Ao Dai - Nurturing Intellect and Honoring Vietnamese Identity” was the theme of an exhibition held by the City Library on the morning of July 9 at No. 29A Le Quy Don St. (Thuan Hoa Ward).

On the evening of July 7, Hue Museum of Fine Arts officially opened the performance and exhibition program titled “The Knowledge of Tailoring and Wearing Hue Ao Dai” at Diem Phung Thi Art Center (No.17 Le Loi St., Thuan Hoa Ward).

Not only learning English, students of Thuy Bang Primary School (Thuy Xuan Ward) also bring the foreign language to historical sites by taking on the role of ‘Green Ambassadors’ to introduce the beauty of heritage in English.

On the morning of June 17th, Hue City People's Committee held a meeting and commendation ceremony for Hue Football Club following its achievement of securing one of the two direct promotion spots to compete in the National First Division for the 2026/2027 season. The event was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of Hue City Party Committee, and Chairman of Hue City People's Committee. Also in attendance were Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang and leaders of relevant departments and agencies.
