On the afternoon of June 30, Hue Monuments Conservation Center and Hue International General Hospital signed a strategic cooperation agreement. On the same occasion, the hospital announced a VND 300 million sponsorship for the “Hue - Ancient Capital, New Experiences” Photography Contest, one of the activities within Hue Festival 2026.

On June 22nd, Hue Central Hospital announced that patient P.M.D. (41 years old, residing in My Thuong Ward, Hue City), who received a heart transplant from a deceased brain-dead donor, had made a good recovery and was discharged from the hospital. This was the 23rd successful heart transplant performed at the hospital and the last of six recipients who received organs and tissues from the same brain-dead donor to be discharged.

On the evening of May 1st, the People’s Committee of Hue City announced that, on the same day, the city’s heritage site system recorded the highest-ever number of visitors and ticket revenue in a single day. This result further affirms the strong appeal of Hue as a destination in general, and particularly during the April 30th - May 1st holiday.

On the morning of April 27th, the Department of Tourism reported that the total number of visitors to Hue during this year’s Hung Kings’ Commemoration holiday was estimated at around 310.500. This marks a sharp increase compared to the same holiday in 2025, when Hue welcomed 109.000 visitors.

On the evening of April 25, the art program “Enchanting Imperial Palace” will officially open at Hue Imperial Citadel. Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tien, PhD., MD., (46 years old), Director of the Cardiovascular Center and Head of the Department of Internal Cardiology at Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, has officially been awarded the title of the youngest professor in the medical field in 2025. For Professor Tien, being recognized as one of the youngest professors in medicine this year is a great honor; at the same time, this carries an even greater responsibility, as this milestone reminds him to continually maintain passion and dedication across all aspects of his work.

On the first day back to work after the 2026 New Year holiday, Hue residents were greeted with encouraging news: during the holiday period, the city was estimated to have welcomed around 85,000 visitors, a 25% increase compared to the same period last year.
