A delegation from Hue City, led by Mr. Pham Duc Tien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the City People's Council, alongside the Working Group No. 8 of the Vietnam People’s Navy, recently conducted a visit to soldiers and civilians on 7 islands in the Truong Sa (Spratly) Archipelago and at the DK1/16 Phuc Tan Platform.

On the morning of March 17th, Military Hospital 268, under the Logistics-Technical Department of Military Region 4, organized a voluntary blood donation program themed “Red Journey 2026”, attracting a large number of officers, soldiers and staff.

After 12 days of assisting the authorities and people of Hue City in overcoming the aftermath of heavy rains and floods, on the afternoon of November 11, over 500 officers and soldiers from Division 968 (Military Region 4) completed their mission and withdrew to their unit.

On October 31st, hundreds of officers and soldiers from the City Military Command and Division 968 (Military Region 4) were deployed to localities to assist residents in overcoming the aftermath of severe floods.

On August 24, the City Military Command directed Regiment 6 to deploy 100 officers and soldiers along with vehicles to grassroots areas to help people brace for Typhoon No. 5 (Kajiki). At the same time, the City Military Command directed local military forces to step up support at the grassroots level, coordinating with locals to gear up for flooding and typhoon, and minimize damage to property and loss of life.

It was just another ordinary day at the Center for Nursing and Care for the Meritorious in Hue City - a place that welcomes revolution contributors, and policy beneficiaries each year. It is also a long-term home for dozens of war invalids, sick soldiers, and relatives of martyrs who have no one to rely on. The Center is currently caring for ten elderly women. Most of them live alone and have special circumstances, but here they are cared for with wholehearted attention and dedication.

Over 30 officers and soldiers from Regiment 6 in collaboration with the militia forces, promptly arrived at the place to help repair houses for local residents after a whirlwind struck the area of A Luoi 3 commune.

I have fully lived through those precious, unforgettable moments - moments where I could touch the echoing sound of waves that bear the names of the DK1 platform soldiers who now rest in the depths of the sea. It was to convey, in the most genuine way, the bravery and steadfastness of these soldiers who have become unshakable fortresses guarding the sea and sky of our homeland.

On the morning of June 16, Hue City’s Youth Union, in coordination with Hue City Military Command, organized the opening ceremony for the “Military Semester” program in 2025.

On the afternoon of June 13, Hue City Military Command and relevant units mobilized 200 soldiers to Thuy Tan commune (Huong Thuy town) to help local people harvest nearly 90 hectares of off-season rice that had been flooded due to the impact of Storm No.1.
