Hue City Department of Tourism has just presented a new function called “Tourism Narration” into the Visit Hue application. This digital technology solution offers tourists an easier way to explore and listen to stories about Hue Ancient Capital’s heritage.

When the theme for World Tourism Day (September 27, 2025) was chosen as “Tourism and sustainable transformation”, many people immediately thought of Hue’s approach to tourism. Alongside public museum institutions, the system of private museums in Hue is considered a highlight in promoting cultural and heritage values and has become an attractive destination on the tourism map. However, the establishment of tours still depends on each museum’s own approach.

Slow travel is emerging as a popular trend among many tourists. With its rich natural landscape, deep cultural and heritage roots, traditional way of life, and the unique warmth of its people, Hue holds many advantages for developing this form of tourism. However, to truly develop slow travel, Hue still has much work to do.

The People's Committee of Hue City has approved the organization of the first race designed to explore the city’s cultural heritage - “Hue Heritage Trail 2025”. This is a highlight event within the framework of Hue’s 2025 Wellness Tourism Week and responding to the 2025 National Tourism Year.
