No longer operating on a small, fragmented scale, many cooperatives (Co-op) in suburban areas of Hue City are transforming their mindset, expanding their operations, improving product quality, and gradually establishing a stronger presence in the market.

Over many years, the city’s economic and technical infrastructure system has received sustained investment and has gradually been improved. During the 2026 - 2030 period, the city will prioritize allocating public investment capital to complete a synchronized, modern strategic infrastructure system.

On the afternoon of April 23, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, along with representatives from relevant departments and sectors, received and held a working session with a delegation from the Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City, led by Mr. Alexander Dmitrievich Sidoruk, Consul General.

Hue’s elevation to a centrally-governed municipality from early 2025 has taken place in a special context: the country is undergoing a major administrative restructuring, reducing the number of provinces and cities from 63 to 34. The agricultural fairs and highland markets organized by the City Farmers’ Association toward the end of 2025 have contributed to introducing and promoting local agricultural products that meet VietGAP and OCOP standards, as well as specialty products of ethnic minority communities in mountainous areas, giving them greater opportunities to reach wider markets.

On December 18, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh had an official meeting with a delegation from Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam, led by Mr. Liu Shih-Chung, Head of the Office’s Representative.

The recent offline and online Job Fair in Hue City organized by the Employment Department (Ministry of Home Affairs) in coordination with the National Center for Employment Services and local Employment Service centers in the Central region recorded many businesses expanding their recruitment needs to meet production and business plans for the upcoming period.
