More than just a series of promotional activities showcasing one of the world’s most beautiful bays, the program “Lang Co – World Beautiful Bay 2026” reflects the local community’s aspiration to build a green, civilized, and environmentally friendly tourism destination, with local communities and indigenous values serving as the foundation for sustainable development.

On the afternoon of June 3, Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Ha Van Tuan had a courtesy meeting with Mr. Hiroshi OMURA, Director of Shizuoka City Environment Bureau, and a delegation from Shizuoka City (Japan), during their visit and working trip in Hue.

On June 2nd, the Ministry of Health, in collaboration with Care for Children organization, held a working session on the implementation of a project to strengthen family-based alternative care for children in special circumstances during the 2026 - 2028 period in Hue. The program is expected to help improve the effectiveness of child protection and care efforts, enabling children to live in safe, stable, and loving family environments.

On May 23, the city People’s Committee, in collaboration with the World Wide Fund in Vietnam, held a Conference to review the “Hue – Plastic-reduced city in Central Vietnam” Project (TVA Project) for the 2021–2026 period.

On the morning of May 21, the People’s Committee of Chan May - Lang Co Commune held a press conference to announce a series of cultural, tourism, and sports activities taking place within the framework of the “Lang Co - World Beautiful Bay 2026” program, and to share information with the press and media agencies.

On the afternoon of May 19th, the Sub-Department of Irrigation and Climate Change, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hue City, organized a seminar themed “Community Joins Hands in Natural Disaster Prevention and Control”.

The title “National Winner” recognizes Hue City’s efforts in building a green, smart, and environmentally friendly urban area.

On May 15, the Sub-department of Irrigation and Climate Change under the Department of Agriculture and Environment, in coordination with the Catholic Relief Services (CRS) in Vietnam, launched the project “Strengthening climate change resilience and adaptation capacity of urban areas in Central Vietnam”. The project is funded by the CRS (the USA).

This activity was organized by Hue Central Hospital within the framework of a scientific seminar celebrating International Nurses Day (May 12) under the theme “Professional communication in digital transformation and hospital quality”. The event aimed to update knowledge, enhance communication skills, management capacity, and behavioral culture in a modern healthcare environment.

The City People’s Committee has issued a decision to issue the Green Tourism Criteria. The implementation of these criteria aims to concretize the orientation for sustainable, environmentally friendly tourism development, in alignment with the national green growth strategy.

Recently, many localities in Hue City have implemented many "Mural Painting" models to promote environmental protection and waste classification at source, and have initially shown effectiveness.

Recently, the tourism industry has coordinated with functional units to strengthen management work, pay attention to tourists' feedback to promptly handle many violations.
