As Da Nang rises to become a premier tourism destination with increasingly diverse and distinctive experiences, cultural events, festivals and community activities play an important role in creating the city’s unique appeal. On the afternoon of August 10, at the Consulate General of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic in Da Nang City, a delegation of Hue City leaders, led by Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh, paid tribute to H.E. On the morning of May 23rd, the University of Law, Hue University, in coordination with Da Nang Representative Office of the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam and Tilleke & Gibbins, held the opening ceremony for the 6th “Student Innovation and Intellectual Property” Competition 2026 under the theme “Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence”.

The activity was organized by Hue Central Hospital in coordination with Da Nang Charity Group for disadvantaged pediatric patients receiving treatment at the hospital on the occasion of International Children’s Day on June 1st.

At the 2026 Beach Wrestling World Championships held from May 9th - 10th at My Khe Beach in Da Nang, two athletes from Hue wrestling team contributed two bronze medals to Vietnam wrestling’s overall success.

Traditional culture is no longer unfamiliar to young people as the student group “Gen Z Ke Su” (Gen Z Tells History) from the Communication Technology major at FPT University Da Nang launched a media project titled “Co Vat Cung Dinh” (Royal Antiquities). The project uses modern technology applications to tell traditional stories.

Whether by fate or extraordinary circumstance, within just 42 days, one tank company had the honor of participating in the liberation of all three major cities in southern Vietnam: Hue, Da Nang, and Saigon. The tracks of their tanks stretched over a thousand kilometers from A Luoi (Hue) to the Independence Palace, where they smashed through the gates and raised the victorious revolutionary flag atop the building, signaling total victory. That unit was Company XT4 of the heroic 203rd Tank Brigade.

On March 14, in Da Nang City, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), in collaboration with the National Traffic Safety Committee and Honda Vietnam Company, organized the closing and awarding ceremony for the “Traffic Safety” Contest for the academic year 2025 - 2026, held for primary, secondary, and high school students and teachers nationwide.

According to an information released by the Railway Transport Joint Stock Company, following a period of exterior and interior renovations to passenger carriages on Hue - Da Nang route of the “Connecting Central Heritage” train, the upgraded train will officially debut on March 26, 2026.

The railway line connecting Hue to Da Nang via the Hai Van Pass spans approximately 100 kilometers and is considered one of the most beautiful railway routes in the country.
