The year 2026, the first year of implementing Resolution 72-NQ/TW on breakthrough solutions for protecting and improving public health, marks a new turning point for healthcare in Hue City. Building on the strong foundation of Hue Central Hospital, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University; and a primary healthcare system undergoing comprehensive reform, Hue is steadily affirming its position as a center for advanced, specialized medical care, with a vision toward becoming a regional hub in Southeast Asia.

The 10th National Sports Games are scheduled for November 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, and Dong Thap. Hue sports teams are expected to compete in 16 disciplines, including football, swimming and diving, archery, badminton, chess, Chinese chess, sepak takraw, shuttlecock kicking, and athletics.

On the afternoon of December 17, Hue City Women Entrepreneurs Association organized a trade connection conference themed “Breakthrough to success - Shining together”.

As reported by Hue Central Hospital, they have marked a significant milestone in Vietnamese medicine by successfully performing the first kidney transplant in the country using the LifePort hypothermic machine perfusion (HMP) system. This is a breakthrough in organ preservation technology, and opens a new chapter for Vietnam’s organ transplantation field.

That was the theme of the national scientific conference organized by the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Hue City, in coordination with relevant agencies, on the afternoon of September 25th in Hue City. The conference aimed to provide a deeper understanding of Hue’s core values, assess its achievements, analyze challenges, and propose strategic, breakthrough solutions for developing Hue into a green, smart, and sustainable city.

In the current trend of digital transformation, the healthcare sector of Hue City is leading the way in building a smart hospital model, modernizing medical examination and treatment system, improving service quality, and enhancing patient satisfaction.

Apart from Tran Quoc Vinh, Hue still has no shortage of cueists capable of competing for medals at major tournaments, who are diligently training and nurturing their ambitions. It feels as though they are waiting for a “push” as a catalyst to ignite their breakthrough.

For the first time, Hue City is in the top 10 localities with the highest score distribution in the national high school graduation exam. This result is a clear evidence of the correct and sustainable direction of Hue City's education sector in recent years.

The National Tourism Year (NTY) - Hue 2025 represents a major opportunity for Hue’s tourism industry. The key issue is how to ensure that by the end of NTY, Hue gains significant “profit,” not only in visitor numbers.
