On the morning of March 9th, the Hue City Employment Service Center officially launched the Employment Month 2026 program with the theme “Spring Job Connection”. It attracted the participation of many businesses both within and outside the city, creating opportunities for direct connections between companies and job seekers during the first months of the year.

According to Hue City Department of Culture and Sports, Huyen Tran Temple Festival for the Spring of Binh Ngo 2026, themed “Honoring the Ancestors - Sacred Imprints of Territorial Expansion”, will be held on the 8th and 9th days of the first lunar month of the Year of the Horse (corresponding to February 24-25, 2026) at Huyen Tran Cultural Center (151 Thien Thai Street, An Cuu Ward, Hue City).

This was the directive of the Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, at the conference reviewing the 2025 work results and deploying tasks for 2026 of Hue Monuments Conservation Center (HMCC), held on the afternoon of January 9th. ​

On the afternoon of January 9th, Hue University organized a ceremony commemorating the 76th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnamese Students and Vietnam Students’ Association (January 9th, 1950 - January 9th, 2026).

The Chess and Chinese Chess Tournament at the 10th City Sports Games (2025-2026) kicked off on the morning of December 26 at the City Library (No.29A Le Quy Don Street). This marks the 9th and 10th events of the Games, following boat racing, karate, taekwondo, shuttlecock kicking, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, and vovinam.

Hoang Ngoc Vinh An, a medical student, representing Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, surpassed many contestants from medical and pharmacy universities across the country to win the Second Prize in the “National Medical and Pharmacy Students’ Model Session” competition. This achievement helped Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy make a mark at the “9th National Medical Education Conference - 2025”, held at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy in early November.

On the afternoon of October 9th, as part of “Hue - Innovation for Sustainable Development” (Hue Innovation Day 2025) event, a forum was held under the theme “Developing the Private Economy in Connection with Heritage Economy in Hue”. The event was jointly organized by Hue Institute for Development Studies, the Department of Science and Technology, and Hue Monuments Conservation Center.

On September 9th, Hue University (HU) held a ceremony to announce the Resolution of the HU Council recognizing the Rector of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, HU, for the 2025 - 2030 term.

From August 30 to September 1, 2025 (the 8th, 9th, and 10th days of the Lunar July), tourists and local people will enjoy free entrance to Hue Nam relic (Hon Chen Temple) during Hue Nam Temple Festival.

On the morning of August 28th in Hue City, the Vietnam Tobacco Control Fund (VNTCF), Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Southeast Asia Tobacco Control Alliance (SEATCA), organized the opening of the 9th ASEAN Regional Conference on creating a smoke-free environment.
