Though in his seventies, Excellent Artist Tran Thao (Phu Xuan, Hue) has never spent a single day without nha nhac (court music). He teaches it in classrooms, passing on his craft in his small house and maintaining a nha nhac club for over three decades now. Every year, he travels to An Giang, carrying with him the “music of the past” to share with others.

On the morning of May 28 (the 12th day of the fourth lunar month of the Year of the Horse), a delegation of leaders from Hue City Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, led by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Head of the City’s National Assembly Delegation, visited and extended greetings to the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in the city on the occasion of Vesak 2570 celebrations.

On May 28, 1,728 candidates took part in the competency assessment examination for Grade 6 admission at Nguyen Tri Phuong Secondary School for the academic year 2026 - 2027.

In recent years, that beauty has become even more alluring thanks to the new coastal road and the recently completed bridge spanning the Thuan An estuary. From there, visitors coming to Hue can begin their journey from the clear blue waters of Lang Co Bay, travel along breezy coastal roads through Vinh Thanh, Thuan An, and Hai Duong, before continuing toward the peaceful seaside area of Quang Dien.

On May 23rd, Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted held its ceremony to review the 2025-2026 school year and honor students with outstanding achievements. Attending the event was Mr. Hoang Khanh Hung, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Head of the City Party Committee’s Commission for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization.

On May 22nd, Nguyen Tri Phuong Secondary School held an awards ceremony for the 2025-2026 school year to recognize and commend students who achieved outstanding results in academics, conduct, and in the city and national level competitions.

Hue has been a centrally governed municipality for more than a year, making planning adjustments subject to many new requirements. Regarding this issue, Dr. Ngo Viet Nam Son, Architect, shared his perspectives with Hue Today Weekly on development thinking, regional connectivity, and long-term growth drivers for Hue heritage city.

At the end of the academic year, when flamboyant trees begin to burst into fiery red blossoms, yearbook photography services also enter their busiest season, allowing students preserve their school memories.

On May 16th, at Nguyen Tri Phuong Secondary School, the Department of Education and Training organized the “Our Vietnamese Language” exchange festival for ethnic minority primary school students in the 2025-2026 school year.

On the afternoon of May 16th, at UK Academy Hue Bilingual International School, the Department of Education and Training, in coordination with FPT Corporation, held a ceremony to honor and present awards for the VioEdu Arena in the 2025-2026 school year.
