“Thua Thien Hue needs a survey about all the Phu De currently left in the province in terms of their locations, values, ages, architecture, conditions, etc. The survey will become a database for researching”. (Phu are princes’ residences and De are princesses’ residences in the past).

On the morning of October 12, the Provincial Union of Literature and Arts Associations organized a workshop themed "Promoting the values of folk culture in the Tam Giang - Cau Hai lagoon area in tourism development".

The application of technology is an effective solution to bring heritage on exhibition at museums and monuments closer to the public.

"Studying the values of cultural landscapes of Hue heritage and the surrounding areas in order to preserve and promote the values of the Complex of Hue Monuments" is the topic of an international seminar held on August 9.

Collecting antiques is not a mere hobby. Young people also learn from antique collection the historical and cultural values. Antiquities made with different materials and techniques over hundreds or thousands of years are like a journey back to the past that fascinates young people.

Located in the central part of Vietnam, Hue is an ideal destination to learn about history, culture, and long-standing traditional values. I happened to come across a Facebook post of a friend currently living in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. It read, “seeing seven blooming pink lotus flowers celebrating Vesak on Nhan Co Lake reminds me so much of my hometown - Hue, where Ngu Mountain and the Perfume River reside.”

The images exhibited are emotive works that are expected to arouse the public’s recollections, especially the Buddhist followers, of the past lessons, so that they would strive to reinforce and further enhance Buddhism's teachings and values. The exhibition is open to the public until June 7th.

The cultural spaces of Vietnamese and international craft villages seem to bring visitors to the quintessence of the craft villages with the performances of various sophisticated skills to create unique products, making unmistakable values of each craft village.

After being organized for four days, the culinary festival themed “The Quintessence of Noodle making craft” at Hue Traditional Craft Festival ended on the evening of May 2 at Thuong Bac Park, with a night to honor the culinary values and gratitude to the contributors of the festival.
