On the afternoon of December 18, a National Scientific Conference themed “Promoting the value of Hue traditional music in cultural and tourism development” took place at Saigon Morin Hotel. The conference was jointly organized by Thua Thien Hue Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations and relevant agencies.

On December 12, the People’s Committee of Hue City held a ceremony to award prizes and open the exhibition of the photo contest “Hue Traditional Crafts - the Lifeblood of Heritage” 2024.

Mirror candy has a transparent appearance, resembling a small mirror and I found out and interesting thing is that most traditional candies from the Imperial City of Hue are named after the shape or form of their appearance, such as betel nut candy, ginger candy, hammer candy, and mirror candy... These names are unique, simple, and easy to remember.

On the afternoon of December 10th, the opening ceremony of the exhibition celebrating Vietnam Fine Arts Tradition Day (December 10th, 1951 - December 10th, 2024) took place at the University of Arts, Hue University.

In 2024, there has been six individuals who donated artifacts, and nine establishments and individuals involved in producing traditional Hue handicrafts supported the Thua Thien Hue Museum of History in its exhibition and display efforts to promote Hue’s cultural heritage to the public and visitors.

Thua Thien Hue has preserved many craft villages and handed down many unique traditional crafts. With abundant cultural tourism resources and natural tourism assets, it can combine them with craft and traditional village tourism. This provides a foundation for the Ancient Capital to develop a tourism model that complements its strengths in cultural and heritage tourism.

Every year, after the harvest and when people's lives are stable, the Co Tu ethnic group in A Luoi district joyfully prepares for the Tac Ka Coong festival, a sacred and special traditional festival. This is not only an occasion for the Co Tu people to express gratitude to nature and the gods but also an opportunity for the community to unite and affirm their cultural identity.

“I am always worried that time passes by too quickly while I am too slow to do many things for my children and grandchildren in the future”, elder Hanh expressed his concern upon gazing at Truong Son (Annamite) mountain range in the distance. For generations, Pa Co people of his kind have taken refuge at the foot of this mountain range. Seeing the traditional culture of their ancestors gradually fading away over the years makes his heart ache, so he must do everything he can to preserve and conserve the beauty of his people.

On November 11th, Hue Tourism College collaborated with Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Thua Thien Hue Province to host a seminar and exchange event featuring Vietnamese - Japanese traditional New Year culinary culture.

With the support of Hue City Martial Arts Association, on the morning of November 10, Vietnam Buddhist Martial Arts Sect organized the opening ceremony of the first Expanded Tournament for Traditional Martial Arts Clubs and Schools of the Vietnam Buddhist Martial Arts Sect in 2024 at Hue City Center for Culture, Information, and Sports, located at 150 Nguyen Trai Street, Tay Loc Ward.
