The second Quang Dien Half Marathon 2024 offers athletes the experience of running through paths surrounded by the golden expanse of ripe rice fields and the rolling waves of the Tam Giang Lagoon.

According to experts, the number of tourists choosing golf tourism products is growing rapidly, illustrating the potential for developing this industry. Hue is making efforts to call for investment, while at the same time, deploying many solutions to attract high-end tourists of this category.

On the afternoon of August 1st, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) held a conference to review and approve the results of the provincial science and technology project "Establishing, managing, and developing a certification mark (CM) for “Thanh Toan tiled-roof bridge village market” of Thuy Thanh commune, Huong Thuy town, led by the Office of Culture and Information of Huong Thuy Town.

On the morning of July 28, the project “Hue - A City to Reduce Plastics in Central Vietnam”, funded by the World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF) - Norway (through the WWF - Vietnam), received by Hue City People's Committee, in collaboration with the Provincial Department of Tourism, organized the inauguration of 5 waiting lounges and free water stations at tourist destinations, including: Thien Mu Pagoda, Bao Vinh Ancient Town, Ban Nguyet Bridge - Me Wharf, Vong Canh Hill, and Sinh Village wrestling area (Hue City).

With advantages in scenery, cultural heritage, and the ancient, tranquil beauty of temples, palaces, relics, and architecture, Hue is becoming a destination of choice for filmmakers. This also presents an opportunity for cinema to expand Hue's tourism reach.

From May to early September each year is considered the low season for international tourists. However, Vietnam's tourism industry in general and Thua Thien Hue in particular are implementing various strategies to attract foreign tourists, especially from target markets.

On the morning of July 15th, Hue Tourism College, in collaboration with IKIGAI International Soft Skills Training Center, organized the career orientation program “Understanding yourself, Understanding your career” to help students make solid steps when choosing vocational education at the intermediate level.

On July 10th, Thua Thien Hue Tourism Association, in collaboration with USA Poultry & Egg Export Council (USAPEEC), organized a workshop and cooking contest featuring American chicken dishes.
