Hue College of Tourism welcomes nearly 500 freshmen

HNN.VN - On the night of October 8, Hue College of Tourism (under the management of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism) held a program to welcome freshmen in the academic year 2025 - 2026, along with a cultural performance titled “The Rhythm of Hue Tourism”.

Awarding scholarships to students 

Hue College of Tourism was established in 1999. Going through over 25 years of establishment and development, the college has trained 16 cohorts at college level and 24 at intermediate level. It has provided nearly 10,500 professionals working for the tourism industry through formal, elementary, and continuing education programs. Furthermore, the college has also conducted training programs tailored to the needs of businesses and society, making significant contributions to the development of the tourism industry of Vietnam in general and Hue City in particular.

Hue College of Tourism currently offers training in 14 occupations at the college level, 8 at the intermediate level, and 7 at the elementary level. In the 2025 - 2026 academic year, the college welcomes nearly 500 freshmen.

According to the college’s leadership, during their training, students are not only equipped with professional knowledge, skills, and attitudes but also gain practical experience and enhance their expertise through internships at 4- and 5-star hotels and luxury resorts. In addition, the college’s Tourism Practice Center (Villa Hue Hotel) operates under the “School-Hotel” model, meeting 4-star standards and being one of the most modern and well-equipped facilities in Vietnam. It serves as an excellent practical training environment where students can both develop their professional skills and become familiar with real-world working conditions.

Also on this occasion, Hue College of Tourism, businesses, and its alumni awarded 47 scholarships, each costing 1 million VND, to impoverished students overcoming difficulties in their studies.

After the scholarship awarding ceremony was the music performance titled “The Rhythm of Hue Tourism” with 20 lively and captivating performances.
