According to the decision, the School of Engineering and Technology - Hue University was established through the merger of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, the International School, and the Institute for Socio-Economic Development Studies under Hue University.

On the afternoon of September 29, the Department of Education and Training met with Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted to review preparations for the ceremony celebrating the school’s 130th anniversary (1896-2026), scheduled for October 2026. On September 8, 2026, Hue City People’s Committee issued Plan No. 519/KH-UBND to implement Conclusion No. 372-KL/TU of the City Party Committee. The plan continues the implementation of Resolution No. 04-NQ/TU on building Hue into one of the country’s major and distinctive centers of culture and tourism, and Resolution No. 37-NQ/TU on developing tourism and tourism services for the 2025–2030 period, with a vision to 2045.

Alongside aspirations for future UNESCO inscription, Hue Nam Temple Festival (also known as Hon Chen Temple Festival) is increasingly being viewed as a distinctive form of spiritual tourism. Together with safeguarding core values, the festival is seeking to harness the depth of cultural heritage to attract visitors, while avoiding excessive commercialization that could erode the identity.

After the heavy rains and floods in October and November, Hue Traditional Craft Exhibition and Experience Space, which is located at No. 15 Le Loi Street, has recently carried out decoration and renovation activities to refresh the destination. Many new products and presentations on traditional crafts have been prepared to introduce to visitors.

In the coming time, the tourism sector will enhance the promotion of culinary tourism through culinary events and festivals, and create unique culinary tours to promote the advantages of local cuisine and enhance the tourism experience for visitors.
