On the morning of September 20, the Executive Committee of Hue City Theater Artist Association, in coordination with Hue Opera House and Hue Royal Traditional Arts Theater, held a ceremony to celebrate Vietnam Theater Day 2026.

On the morning of September 5th, as part of Vietnam - Japan Local Cooperation Forum 2026 in Hue City, an exhibition area showcasing photos and signature products from Vietnamese and Japanese localities was opened at Song Huong Theater.

On the morning of July 31, at the Southern Women’s Museum in Ho Chi Minh City, the Tran Van Khe Scholarship Foundation held the announcement and award presentation ceremony for the 2026 Tran Van Khe Awards. Notably, the Hue Royal Traditional Arts Theatre was one of only two organizations honored in recognition of its outstanding contributions to the preservation, research, and promotion of Vietnam’s traditional music.

On the morning of June 5th, at Duyet Thi Duong Theater in Hue Imperial Citadel, Hue Monuments Conservation Center organized an experimental performance program titled “Practicing Huế music notation and the interpretation method,” drawing the attention of researchers, artisans, and lovers of traditional music.

I visited An Dinh Palace on a warm, sunny early spring day. Not counting the respectful foreign visitors pausing before each artifact, I figured that among the more than 20 young people bustling about in ao-dai, with flowers, striking various poses for photos, few knew that they were standing very close to the remnants of a famous theater from the end of the Nguyen Dynasty that has now completely disappeared: Cuu Tu Dai.

After nearly two years of restoration and rehabilitation of the remaining structures of Emperor Tu Duc’s Mausoleum, Minh Khiem Hall (an ancient theater) – regarded as a “precious gem” of royal court performing arts – is gradually revealing its original appearance.

On the morning of October 26, the live broadcast site of the final round of the “Road to Mount Olympia” 2025 took place vibrantly at the Song Huong Theater, Hue City. This event is not only a festival of knowledge, but also a journey that passes on the torch of inspiration among students of Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted.

Hue culture with its typical characteristics of the land is portrayed through many unique cultural values such as cuisine, clothing, garden house architecture, education, music, theater, language, and poetry. These values have become great potential for Hue to become an important tourist center of Vietnam and Southeast Asia.

On the evening of August 10, at Song Huong Theater, the final round of the 7th “Red Laurel” competition in 2025 took place, filled with excitement and suspense, drawing a large number of audience, students, and teachers.
