On the afternoon of November 28, Hue University organized the final round and award ceremony of the “1st Hue University Innovation Solutions Competition - 2025”.

At the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, the qualities of dedication, deep expertise, and moral integrity in an educator are often associated - by generations of students, trainees, and colleagues - with Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy, the Rector. More than an administrator or a gifted leader, he is a model teacher who has devoted his life to education, medicine, and the enduring values of humanity.

On the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20) and the 80th anniversary of the education sector (1945–2025), Mr. Nguyen Tan, Director of the Department of Education and Training (DOET) of Hue City, had a conversation with Hue Today Weekly about the sector’s renewal requirements in the current period, as well as the growing role of teachers.

As Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20th) approaches, many teachers in flood-stricken areas are still busy battling natural disasters. Flood after flood, they persistently cling to their schools and classrooms, visiting each disadvantaged student to offer support and encouragement. On the occasion of November 20 this year, the City People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 12 outstanding individuals from educational institutions for their significant contributions to teaching, managing, and coaching gifted students in the 2024 - 2025 academic year.

On the morning of November 18th, a working delegation from the Central Youth Union, led by Mr. Bui Quang Huy, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, and First Secretary of the Central Youth Union, visited Hue City to congratulate Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20th) and to give gifts to children and youth affected by the flood in Hue City.

On November 18, Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Trung visited and extended congratulations to the staff, lecturers, and teachers of Hue University and the Department of Education and Training on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (20/11/1982 - 20/11/2025).

On the afternoon of November 17, Hue Central Hospital (HCH) held a discharge ceremony for pediatric patient Nguyen Tuong V., 2 years old - the recipient in the hospital’s fifth liver transplant performed entirely by its own team of doctors. This achievement marks a significant milestone, affirming the hospital’s ability to master the entire liver transplant process - from organ retrieval and liver splitting to transplantation and post-operative care.
