| Signing a cooperation agreement between the Department of Education and Training and the University of Foreign Languages, Hue University |
In this academic year, the Department of Education and Training launches a pilot program for Chinese language teaching and learning at Nguyen Tri Phuong Secondary School and Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted, giving students an additional foreign-language option and supporting a multilingual, multicultural educational environment that meets the requirements of international integration.
At Nguyen Tri Phuong Secondary School, Chinese is offered to 80 8th-grade students in two classes. Meanwhile, Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted offers two Chinese classes for 61 10th-grade students.
The introduction of Chinese into the curriculum is expected to strengthen students’ foreign-language and communication skills, while providing them with more options for further study and future careers.
On this occasion, the Department of Education and Training signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of Foreign Languages, Hue University, covering training and professional development, scientific research, curriculum and learning-material development, assessment, and internships, as well as data connectivity and workforce demand forecasting.
In the field of foreign languages, the two sides will prioritize cooperation in developing English, French, Japanese, Chinese, and other foreign-language programs that meet practical demands and local conditions. The implementation of teaching Chinese language in the 2026-2027 academic year will be carried out in accordance with Plan No. 5655/KH-SGDĐT, issued by the Department of Education and Training on September 7, 2026.
Through this partnership, the two sides aim to strengthen cooperation between general education, training, and research; thereby, contributing to improving the quality of foreign-language teaching and learning, while developing the workforce and human resources for Hue City.
