On December 11, the leader of the Provincial Department of Culture and Sports announced that Thua Thien Hue has been honored as one of the top 10 localities leading the Production Attraction Index (PAI) and film production environment in Vietnam.

On December 11, representatives of the provincial Department of Culture and Sports informed that the Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism announced the decision to include the Hue Nam Temple Festival (Huong Tho Commune, Hue City) and Van Cu noodle-making craft (Huong Toan Commune, Huong Tra Town) in the list of National Intangible Cultural Heritage.

The photo exhibition themed “Life of the lotus” by Nguyen Khoa Huy, the photographer, is being displayed at Hue City Center for Culture, Information and Sports (23 - 25 Le Loi Street), from November 26 to December 10, 2024.

On December 5 and 6, at the Provincial Continuing Education Center, the Provincial Department of Education and Training, in collaboration with the Provincial Department of Culture and Sports, organized a training session on teaching safe swimming skills and preventing drowning in students.

On the morning of November 17, Kim Dong Publishing House in collaboration with Hue City Center of Culture, Information and Sports, and Club of Book and Hue Culture held a program “Hue people tell stories about Hue”, featuring an exchange with writer and journalist Phi Tan, the researcher Le Vu Truong Giang on the occasion of launching the book “Hue people tell stories about Hue” and “Students over the Tam Giang Lagoon”.

With the support of Hue City Martial Arts Association, on the morning of November 10, Vietnam Buddhist Martial Arts Sect organized the opening ceremony of the first Expanded Tournament for Traditional Martial Arts Clubs and Schools of the Vietnam Buddhist Martial Arts Sect in 2024 at Hue City Center for Culture, Information, and Sports, located at 150 Nguyen Trai Street, Tay Loc Ward.

The second Provincial Club Open Chess and Xiangqi (Co Tuong) Tournament of 2024 commenced on the morning of November 2nd at the Provincial Sports Center, gathering over 400 players from 25 clubs both within and beyond the province.

On October 31, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism said that it had sent a document to the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province regarding the preparation of a dossier to recognize Phuoc Tich ancient village (Phong Hoa Commune, Phong Dien District) as a special national relic.

On October 25, a representative from Thua Thien Hue General Library announced that the 2024 Reading Culture Ambassador Contest, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, has concluded and awarded prizes. Thua Thien Hue has won 3 prizes this year.
