As part of the 500-day-and-night campaign to increase efforts in the search for and collection of the remains of fallen soldiers, collect biological samples, and conduct DNA testing to identify those whose identities remain unknown, officers and soldiers of Search and Recovery Team 192 under the Hue City Military Command, together with coordinating forces, are working day and night with a strong sense of responsibility and profound gratitude. Their efforts are helping bring fallen soldiers home to their families and loved ones.

On the afternoon of July 27, Deputy Secretary of Hue City Party Committee, Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh chaired a conference to review the progress of the ‘500 Days and Nights Campaign’ to accelerate the search, recovery, and identification of fallen soldiers’ remains, along with the program to replace temporary and dilapidated houses for the biological children of resistance fighters exposed to Agent Orange/dioxin across the city.

Many valuable archival materials of the Nguyen Dynasty, as well as Hue’s historic structures and rituals, remain scattered across museums, archival centers, and private collections abroad. Marking the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), on the afternoon of July 21, the city leaders visited and presented gifts to families of people with meritorious service to the revolution in several localities, and encouraged the teams currently tasked with searching for and repatriating martyrs’ remains.

For over twenty years, artist Tran Huu Nhat has quietly traveled through rivers, temples, the citadel in Hue in his journey of recreating sketches of Than Kinh Nhi Thap Canh _ the twenty beautiful landscapes of Hue mentioned in historical records of the Nguyen Dynasty.

Being around 30km away from Hue City to the southeast, Vinh Thanh beach (Vinh Thanh commune, Phu Vang district), is a beautiful beach and famous for its fresh and cheap seafood.
