On the afternoon of September 16, the Provincial Department of Education and Training coordinated with Hue Monuments Conservation Center to organize activities of visiting and experiencing heritage at Hue Imperial Citadel for students achieving the title of "Honorary students of the whole school” in the academic year of 2022 - 2023.

On the morning of September 16, at the Quoc Tu Giam historical site, the Provincial People's Committee held a ceremony to commend students who achieved the title of "School Honors Student" for the academic year 2022 - 2023. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Phan Ngoc Tho, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

It has been 40 years until the school year 2022 – 2023 that Thua Thien Hue had the first award for Math in the national exam for excellent students. The achievement of Tu Cong Thanh, a Grade 12 student of Class Math 1 of Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted, has made many people feel confident and hopeful about “reviving” the top-notch math.

On the morning of March 20, the Department of Education and Training held a ceremony to commend and reward national excellent students in the school year 2022-2023.

From school year 2022-2023 onwards, local education is one of the seven compulsory educational subjects and activities applied to the upper secondary level.
