Hue puts on the most brilliant red shirt of flamboyant flowers in late June and early July. The roads, street corners, and rice fields are all adorned with the fiery colors of flamboyant flowers. That red color gives Hue a brilliant and captivating beauty.

Three Vietnamese dishes, namely beef stew (bo kho), Hue beef noodle soup, or Hue breakfast noodle soup (bun bo Hue), and broken rice with grilled pork (com tam suon), have been included in the list of “Top 100 breakfasts in the world” by the international food magazine Taste Atlas.

With consistent participation and numerous prestigious awards in music competitions, coupled with frequent performances in artistic programs throughout Hue, Phan Huy Thanh, singer, has made a profound impact on audiences. Particularly, the songs about Hue performed by Phan Huy Thanh are vibrant and youthful, such as "Cơm hến" (Mussel Rice), "Trai Huế" (Hue Boys), "Nón" (Conical Hat)... truly bringing a breath of fresh air, contributing to spreading and elevating the imagery of the landscapes and people of Hue to the listeners.

Among the top 10 records for Asian culinary dishes and specialties this year, Thua Thien Hue has two records recognised as Asian records, which are mussel rice (com hen), a culinary dish, and sesame candy (me xung), a local specialty.

Thua Thien Hue is a region with many dishes honored in the “Journey to find the cultural value of typical Vietnamese cuisine” including Hue beef noodles, tapioca dumplings stuffed with roasted pork sweet soup, mussel rice, tapioca dumplings, mixed vegetarian fig salad, vegetarian rice steamed in lotus leaf.

Thua Thien Hue has the most dishes honored in Phase I of the project, including Hue beef noodle soup, tapioca dumpling stuffed with roasted pork sweet soup, mussel rice, tapioca dumplings, vegetarian fig salad, and vegetarian steamed rice wrapped in lotus leaf.

September and October are the time when the highland district of Mu Cang Chai (Yen Bai province) is immersed in the golden color of ripe rice fields.

These are 6 of 121 Vietnamese culinary dishes that have just been honored by the Vietnam Cuisine Culture Association (VCCA) as typical national dishes in phase I of a project titled "Building and Developing Vietnamese Culinary Culture into a National Brand Name”. All of these 6 dishes, including: Hue beef noodle soup, glutinous rice dumplings stuffed with roasted pork in sweet soup, mussel rice, banh loc (glutinous rice dumplings), vegetarian fig salad, and lotus-leaf-wrapped steamed rice; all are close to the gardens and paddy fields of the land.

The rice grains sown in a field tells a historical story, the healing of the pain of the past and reminds young people of the importance of food in modern life. The artists have created an artwork about the process from sowing to harvesting by making an art video with country music background.

Tinkering with ways to arrange, mix and match various colors, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue has created many magnificent paintings from rice husks.
